Biography

Martin Byam was born in London, at Nofolk St on The Strand, on the 29th of September 1742, son of William Byam [1] and his wife, Anne Gunthorpe. [2] He was baptised at St Clement Danes in Westminster on the 9th of October.[3] Martin was educated at Eton and Sydney College, Cambridge. [1]

He married Elizabeth Blizard, daughter of Stephen Blizard, [2] Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Antigua, and widow of William Warner Esq. [1]They had no children. [2][1]

Martin passed away childless at Lyndhurst in Hampshire in June 1805. [2]
