Absolum, son of Lee Allen Bybee & Jerusha Jane Atkerson, was born on 10 February 1808 in Glasgow, Barren, Kentucky, United States. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on October 7th, 1839 just a few years after Joseph Smith established the new religion.[1]
Around June 2, 1852, Absalom and several family members left the USA and headed to Deseret, Utah Territory to help settle as Mormon pioneers. They started their travel from Kanesville, Iowa with the Benjamin Gardner Company and arrived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory on September 24, 1852.[2]
Absalom Atkinson Bybee died on May 19th, 1894 in Honeyville, Box Elder County, Utah, USA[3]and was buried in Calls Fort Cemetery in that same location.[4]
