In 1844 Edward was the licensee of the Mahogany Creek Inn, and[1]
in 1845 was leasing land from the Habgood brothers.
He employed a Ticket of Leave tutor in 1863.

DIED At Mahogany Creek, on the 29th January, Mr. Edward John Harrold Byfield, in his 52nd year.[3]
