Biography

Ruth was born in 1892 in Virginia to James L. and Mary Jane Doughty Byrd.[1] Ruth married Dempsey Lemuel Dowling on 17 Jan 1917 in Accomack County, Virginia.[2] By 1940, they were living in Decatur County, Georgia. [3] When she passed away in 1982, she was buried in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Georgia. She shares a grave marker with her husband.
