The first we know of Ann is at her marriage. At her burial her age is given as 67 which means she would have been born in 1757 or 8.
At her marriage to Thomas Goff at Kingston upon Thames All Saints on 9 Nov 1777, Ann is from Kingston but Thomas is 'of, Putney'. The marriage is by Licence and is witnessed by Samuel Newman and Sarah Porter.
There appear to be no records of Ann save her children's birth's and death's and her own death apart from her mention in Thomas' will in 1811. Records tell us that Thomas was a successful Gardener (Market Gardener), and that the couple settled in Barnes.
Their first child, a son - John Goff, is born in 1780 and is baptised at Barnes St Mary on 14 Apr 1780.
A second son, Thomas Goff, is born in 1782 and is baptised at Barnes St Mary on 15 Dec 1782. (Note that he baptised as John Thomas but thereafter is known as Thomas).
A third son, William Goff, is born in 1785, but he dies within a few weeks. (Baptised 28 Sep and buried 23 Oct 1785).
A fourth son, George Goff, is born in 1788 and is baptised on 13 Mar 1788 at Barnes St Mary.
A daughter, Ann Goff, is born in 1789. She is baptised on 4 Oct 1789 at Barnes St Mary. (We have found no further record of her)
A second daughter, Jane Goff, is born in 1791 and baptised on 16 Jan 1791. Unfortunately she dies in Feb 1792 and is buried on 5 Feb at Barnes St Mary.
About the same time, a further son, Edward Goff, is born and is baptised on 22 Feb 1791 at Barnes St Mary.
A further son, Samuel Goff, is born in 1793 and is baptised on 17 Feb 1793 at Barnes St Mary.
In 1795 a ninth child, James Goff is born and baptised on 8 Feb 1795 at Barnes St Mary.
Sarah Goff is born in 1798 and baptised on 18 Mar 1898 at Barnes St Mary.
1800 sees the birth of a daughter, Mary Goff, who unfortunately dies before her first birthday. (Baptised 12 Jan 1800 and buried 6 Aug 1800, both at Barnes St Mary).
In January 1801 their daughter Sarah Goff dies aged 2 and is buried on 4 Jan 1801 at Barnes St Mary.
1803 sees the birth of a twelfth and last child, a son - Richard Goff. Richard is baptised on 28 Jun 1803 at Barnes St Mary.
In 1808, their son James Goff dies at the age of 13 and is buried on 12 Jun 1808 at Barnes St Mary.
In 1810, their son George Goff dies at the age of 22. He is buried on 25 Jul 1810 at Barnes St Mary.
Thomas dies in November 1811 and is buried on 5 Nov 1811 at Barnes St Mary.
His will proved at Canterbury on 5 Mar 1812 and he leaves the leases of two properties (of Henry Hugh Hoare and of Miss Gomb) and his 'stock in trade' to his sons John and Thomas for the support of his wife Ann and his young son Richard.
Ann herself dies in Jun 1825 and is buried on 26 Jun 1825 at Barnes St Mary.
