Biography
Maria was born in 1834. She was the daughter of Seth Calkins and Jane Root. She married (1) Samuel Lewis (1832-1863) in 1855. They had at least two children:[1]
- Mary Lewis (b. ca. 1856)
- Fred Lewis (b. 1860)
After Samuel's death in 1863, she married (2) Charles Withers (from Hampshire, England) (1831-1889) on 6 Feb 1866 in Monroe, Wisconsin.[2] Cynthia died in Wisconsin in 1897.[3]
