Martha Calverley was born in Lancashire, England.

Martha Calverley, daughter of Jacobi Calverley was born in Woodhouse in the parish of Newchurch In Pendle and was baptised on 6 October 1728 at St Mary's church, Newchurch In Pendle, Lancashire, England.[1]

Marriage and Children

Martha Calverley of Barrowford married James Haworth of Wheatley on 29 December 1746 at St Bartholomew's Church, Colne, Lancashire, England.[2]

There is not enough evidence that the children baptized in St Mary's Chapel, Newchurch in Pendle are Martha's as they are shown only by the father's name. Except for Henry Haworth who died in 1776, shown only by "James and Martha". The children could be sons/daughters of James Howerth and Ellen Howerth (d. 1758) or James Haworth and Sarah Haworth (d. 1791). There are lots of James Haworth's around the vicinity of Newchurch in Pendle.

In Martha's father's Will, he doesn't mention where his daughter Martha Haworth lived, We don't know where she accurately lived, she could have lived in any vicinity of Newchurch in Pendle where the burial record in the research note is shown. So I thought they maybe stayed in the Parish of Colne after they get married and started their family there but the records from OPC for the County of Lancaster have shown only 2 children before James Haworth got married to Anne Duckworth. The first two children listed in the research notes may be Martha's children. The others are likely James and Anne's.

She mentioned in her father's will, James Calverley, written on 12 November 1761. Described as Martha Haworth.[3][4]

She was living after 12 November 1761.
I could not find the burial record of Martha Haworth in the Newchurch in Pendle parish register.
