William Campbell was born in Falmouth, Cornwall, England.

William was born say 1785 at Falmouth, Cornwall. His parents are not known at this time.

Marriages and Children

William was married twice. He married 1) Mary Truscott, the daughter of John and Catherine (Hicks) Truscott on 18 July 1812 in Falmouth, Cornwall.^[1]They had three sons born at Cornwall:

1. John George Truscott Campbell (b. 1813),^[2]
2. William Harvey Campbell (b. 4 Feb 1816; d. 1892),^[3] m. 2 Mar 1845 at Southward, London, England, Lydia Insell (1818-1895)
3. James Frederick Campbell (b. 14 Mar 1819)^[4]

Mary (Truscott) Campbell died on 4 March 1827.^[5]

William married 2) Alice Truscott on 4 October 1835 at St Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, England.^[6][7]Alice was Mary (Truscott) Campbell's sister. It is not known if there were children from this union.
