Keith Morris Campbell was born on 14th December 1919 in Warwick, Queensland, Australia. [1]
Keith married Phyllis Story on 12th July 1941 in Queensland. [2]
On 4th January 1941 Keith enlisted in the Second Australian Imperial Force for military service overseas during the Second World War. He was allocated to the 2/1st Australian Infantry Battalion. During the Aitape-Wewak Campaign on the north coast of New Guinea in early 1945 he served as second-in-command of A Company as a Lieutenant. The war over, he was demobilised on 17th December 1945. [3] Keith was re-mobilised and served on the Unattached List Northern Command, eventually resigning his commission on 10th November 1948. [4]
