Birth
Based upon the year of her marriage Maria / Mary Canby was born probably about 1632, give or take, Thorne, Yorkshire, England.
Marriage and Children
Mary Canby married Johannes (John) Atkinson on the 29th July 1651, Fishlake, Yorkshire, England.[1]
Mary and John Atkinson had one child, Thomas Atkinson, who was baptized the 3rd August 1657 in the Church of England at Bradford, St. Peter, Yorkshire. [2] Thomas Atkinson converted to Quakerism. Based upon the 4th June 1678, Knaresborough Monthly Meeting, Thomas Atkinson Jr. married Jane Bond at Knaresborough, Yorkshire.[3] Because their son Thomas Atkinson Atkinson-1856 was an early Quaker immigrant to Philadelphia it is probable that Mary and Thomas Sr. were also early Quaker's in Yorkshire.
Death
As with her husband John Atkinson, Mary Canby's death is unknown at this time but it is highly probable they died in their village location at or near Fishlake, Yorkshire.
