On 2 April 1871 the Capel family lived in Gwinear Down, Gwinear, Cornwall, England [3] John Capel (46) Miner with Margaret Capel (46) and Eliza Capel (12), David Capel (10), William Henry Capel (16), Matilda Capel (14) & Thomas Capel (10).
John Capel (50) Labourer and wife Eliza (50) departed Liverpool, England on board SS Baltic with children, William (20), Thomas (11), Matilda (18) & Eliza (23) and arrived in New York, USA on 12 October 1874. [4]
