Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard Capers and his wife Mary (probably Barnet). There is a Probate Court Conveyance Record in Charleston County Book, 1716-21, page 82 that states David Adams and Elizabeth, being one of the daughters of Richard Capers who was a Planter in Charleston County. [1][2]
She had by her first husband David Adams (d.?1720), four children, namely: [1]
David Adams, born about 1718 and died about 1786, m. Ann Jenkins and Catherine Grimball
Mary Adams, born 1712 or earlier, m. John Jenkins and William Mason
Hannah Adams , m. John Frampton, Joseph Ellicott Capers, and Middleton Evans
Nathaniel Adams, m. Mary Capers and Margaret Ellis
She married John Jenkins on 12 April 1727 in Charles Town.[3] They had children:[1]
Thomas Jenkins
Elizabeth Jenkins (?m. Ralph Bailey)
Richard Jenkins (d. 1772, m. Abigail Townsend and Martha Rippon)
Benjamin Jenkins (d. abt 1782, m. Mary Grimball)
Charles Jenkins
Elizabeth survived her husband and was living in December 1776 when she gave a lot in Charlestown to her son Benjamin.[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
This shows Elizabeth Ann Capers as the mother of Christopher Jenkins which is not correct. Christopher's father John married lst to unknown wife and Christopher is one of those children. He is not child of Elizabeth Ann Capers.
