Sherman Eber Card was born on February 27, 1843, in Charlotte, Michigan, to Eliza Abigail Matteson, age 30, and Eber Sherman Card, age 32.

On September 24,1850, Sherman Card age 8 was listed as the son to head of household with Parents Ebor and Abigail card ages 40 and 37 and Siblings Julia A Card age 18,Betsy Card age 17, Jane Card age 13, Marertta Card age 12, Lidia Card age 9, Perry Card age 4 and Twins Joseph and Josephine Card age 1.When he was living in Assyria, Barry, Michigan, United States.[1]

On July 2,1860, Eber S Card was living in Assyria, Barry, Michigan at age 18. He was living with Eben and Eliza A Card.Lydia Card age 19, William P Card age 13, Twins Joseph and Josephine age 11, Samuel M Card age 8 and Alonzo Card age 6.[2]

On August 24,1862, Sherman Card Pvt Enlisted into the GOODHUE RANGERS CITIZEN SOLDIERS in Belle Creek, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.[3]

On September 22,1862, Sherman card was discharged from the GOODHUE RANGERS CITIZEN SOLDIERS[4]

On Febuary 23,1863, Sherman Card enlisted into Hatch's Battalion, Minnesota Volunteer Cavalry in St paul Minnesota.[5][6]

October 23,1863 Lists Sherman card was in Hatch's Independent Battalion Cavalry He was a Private who was born in Michigan.He was 21 and working as a farmer.He enlisted into the army on Feb 23,1863 in St paul. for a 3 year term.He had grey eyes and brown hair.5' 7" tall.Mustered into servece Feb 25,1864.

On August 4,1864, Sherman Card enlisted into Hatch's Battalion, Minnesota Volunteer Cavalry at Fort Abercrombie.He was in Company D then was transfered to Company E. Independent Batt Minnesota Vol Co.[7]

1865 3 Apirl Sherman Card enlisted into Hatch's Battalion, Minnesota Volunteer Cavalry at Fort Abercrombie. He was in Company D.[8]

On Dec 25,1867 Sherman card was married to Emma Drake while living in Goodhue, Minnesota[9]

On August 17,1870, Sherman Card was living in Belle Creek, Goodhue, Minnesota age 27.with his wife emma and daughter Mary age 0.[10]

1875 1 May Sherman Card was living in Belle Creek, Goodhue, Minnesota at age 32.[11]

In 1880 Sherman Card age 36, was listed as head of household with his wife Amy age 32,His six children Mary E Card age 9, Martha A Card age 7, Edith Card age 5, Ada Card age 4, Goaldin Card age 1 and his brother Samuel Card age 23. [12]

1890 Sherman Card was living in Whitewater, Winona, Minnesota[13][14]

In 1900 Sherman Card age 58, was listed as Head of houseld with his wife Amy age 52, and children Mary age 30, Golaie age 21, Ira age 19, Benjamin age 11, Myrl age 6 and His Neice Livey Mchugh age 18.When he was living in Whitewater Township, Winona, Minnesota.[15]

In 1910 Sherman Card age 66,was listed as head of household with his childrenBenjamin age 20,Merle age 15 and his grandson Floyd Rogers age 12 When he was living in Whitewater, Winona, Minnesota.[16]

On November 25,1917, Sherman Eber Card died in Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota age 74.He is buried in Beaver Cemetery in Whitewater Township, Winona County, Minnesota.[17]Cite error 3; Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[18][19]
