Bill Carew migrated to Queensland as an infant on the Star Queen on 20 Mar 1871. His family originally settled in the Lockyer Valley in Queensland, but as a young adult, he and two of his brothers became pioneers in the Kingaroy District after driving their cattle there from the Lockyer Valley. See the following article from South Burnett News about the exploits of the brothers and the naming of a Kingaroy park after them - https://southburnett.com.au/news2/2014/10/11/pioneer-brothers-earn-a-place-in-kingaroys-history/.
