Walter Carey was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Private Walter Carey served in the Australian Imperial Force in World War I Service started: 15 Sep 1915 Unit(s): 6th Light Horse Regiment Service ended: 28 Sep 1916
Walter was born in the Raywood, Colony of Victoria in 1882. He was the son of Shato Henry Carey and Elizbeth Watson.[1]
Walter married Rachel Robinson in 1910 at Parkes, New South Wales,[2]
15 September 1915 Walter enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces, Service number: 1856[3]. He was assigned to the 6th Light Horse Regiment, saw service in Egypt, attained the rank of Private, returned to Australia and was discharged on 28 September 1916.
He passed away in 1973 in the Windsor district of New south Wales.[4]
