Biography

Née à Pain Court, Kent, Ontario le 15 avril 1907. Elle était la fille de Salomon Caron et Rose Anna Faubert.

Admission au Noviciat le 24 juillet 1931 chez la Congrégation des Soeurs des Saints Noms de Jésus et de Marie.

Profession temporaire le 25 aout 1933.

Voeux perpétuels le 5 aout 1938, ou elle prend le nom Soeur Rose Edna.

Obituary

CARON, Clara (Sr. Rose-Edna) S.N.J.M.Passed away peacefully at Devonshire Seniors Residence at the age of 101 with her Religious family and her faithful caregiver, Ann by her side. Sr. Clara, daughter of Solomon Caron (1944) and Rose-Anna Faubert (1958) was born in Pain Court, Ontario on April 15, 1907. She is survived by one sister, Sister Therese (Bernard-Adrien) S.N.J.M. and numerous nieces and nephews. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in Outremont, Montreal in 1931 and celebrated this year her 75th anniversary of religious profession. Sr. Clara taught and worked as a school librarian over a period of 40 years in the Windsor and Detroit area. After retiring she served as Executive Assistant to the Diocesan Mission Director, also as Provincial Secretary as well as rendering many services at our Residence at Peter Street. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Msgr. Augustin Caron (1983), Reginald (1979), (Lucile Adam-1998) Gerard (1974) (Florence Beneteau-1995), Adrien (1969) (Antoinette Brisson -2005), Edna (Sr. Gerard-de Marie S.N.J.M.-1984), Marie-Anna (Sr. Claire-Therese-S.N.J.M-1980), Leona (Sr. Augustin-Marie-S.N.J.M.-2003). Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Everyone in welcome to join her family and friends on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Our Lady of Assumption Parish (350 Huron Church Rd.) from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. Fr. Joe Quinn officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The Sisters and the family would like to express their gratitude to the Basilian Chaplains and Devonshire staff for their solicitous care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of the Holy Names
