George Carrick was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on 28 December 1898 and was the sixth son of John Carrick and Anna Reese.
On the 1900 census, George is living in Perry, Fayette, Pennsylvania, with his parents and siblings: Johnie (9 years), Richard (7 years), Joseph (4 years) and James (2 years). .[1] On the 1910 census,George is living in Springfield, Jefferson, Ohio, with their children: Joseph (16 years), James (14 years), Andy (10 years), Lulu (6 years), Edward (4 years) and Hannah (2 years).[2]
On the 1920 census, George, a coal miner, is living on Second St, Wolf Run, Springfield, Jefferson, Ohio, with his parents and siblings: Joseph (26 years), James (22 years), Andrew (18 years), Lulu (16 years), Edward (14 years), Hannah (11 years) and Edna (9 years). They also have two boarders, John Harris and Philip Davis, both miners, living with them.[3] On the 1930 census, George, a barber, is living at 667 Market Ave SW, Canton, Stark, Ohio, with his brother, Edward, and his family.[4]
George married Matilda Ciotti in Pleasants, West Virginia, in 1933 but they had no children.[5]
George Carrick died of tuberculosis, aged 38 years, on 31 August 1937 and was buried at Bergholz Cemetery, Jefferson County, Ohio.[6][7]
