Biography
Mary, known as 'Polly' was born in 1770. She was the daughter of Charles Carroll and Mary Darnall.
She married Richard Caton of Brooklynwood and they had 4 daughters. Their 3 eldest daughters married British aristocracy and became known as the three 'American Graces' in England. Their youngest daughter married the English Consul to Baltimore.
Polly passed away in Baltimore in 1846.
