Born on 6 Jan 1732.427 Jacob was baptized in Athens Zion Lutheran Church, on 16 Jan 1732.427 Jacob, son of Thomas Carteret & Margretje, witnesses Leysnaer Van Hoesen & Cathar. Herdyks.
Jacob and Margreta (Jacob’s sister?) were witnesses at the 1751 baptism of Jacob’s neice Margreta, daughter of Jan Ebbers & Annatje (Jacob’s sister).
Jacob married Elisabeth Landt, daughter of Johannes Valentin Landt (ca 1699-8 Aug 1791) & Elizabeth [Landt] (-1747). Born ca 1729 in Claverack, Columbia County, New York.
Jacob Keerter and wife Elisabeth Land were witnesses at the 1762 baptism of their nephew Thomas, son of Cornelis Bengem & Gerretje Keerter (Jacob’s sister).
