Biography

Alice (Casey) McDonald was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.

Alice Casey (1890-1924) was born in Toxteth Park, Liverpool on the 22nd March 1890. ^[1] She was the daughter of Samuel James Casey and Alice Lancelot and she was christened at St Peter's church on the 31st March 1891. ^[2]

The family lived on Ouse Street in the 1891 census ^[3] but had moved onto Haliburton Street before 1901. ^[4]

After her mother's death in 1902 the family split, many of them living with various relations. Alice was living with a cousin on New Henderson Street in Toxteth Park, just down the road from her father & younger brother. At that time she was employed as a restaurant worker. ^[5]

She married Robert McDonald in Toxteth Park in 1913 ^[6] and in the 1921 census Alice & Robert had one son, also called Robert and were living on Menzies Street. ^[7]

They possibly had another son, Reginald, subsequently but Alice died there on the 11th February 1924. ^[8]

She was buried in Toxteth Park Cemetery on the 15th February aged 33 years. ^[9]
