Charles E. Casgrain was an Ontario physician and political figure. He was appointed to the Senate in 1887 and died in office.[1]
Born in 1825, he was the son of Charles Eusèbe Casgrain and Elisa Baby. After graduating in medicine from McGill University, he practiced in Detroit, Michigan, until 1856 when he relocated to Windsor, Ontario. In 1851 he married Charlotte Marie Chase of Detroit; they had at least three children. After her death, he married Mary Ann Street.[2]
