Ostrander Name Study Profiles with Biographies That Need To Be Cleaned Up

Profiles that are part of the Ostrander Name Study Project and have been identified as having Cleanup Issues such as,

• unnecessary GEDCOM import data,
• redundant sections and / or information, such as often occurs after multiple mergers,
• lack of inline citations,
• narrative that does not flow or is difficult to read

are listed below. Most profiles that receive this categorization have some sources noted, but the narrative biography has never been written, or was corrupted by multiple mergers without post merger cleanup.

Task Instructions:

1. Select a profile to work on
2. Identify sources for key information about the person being profiled and the events in which they were involved
3. Eliminate redundant and unnecessary information - see GEDCOM Cleanup and WikiTree Syles & Standards for suggestions and guidance.
4. Write a coherent and smooth narrative biography
5. Add / create inline citations.
6. Where there is conflicting information, or disputed analysis of the information that leads to differing results, lead a G2G discussion to achieve consensus on how to proceed.
7. Once complete, remove the [[Category:Ostrander Name Study, Cleanup Required]] categorizing code from the top of the Biography section of the profile.
