Biography
First wife was Della McGinty, second wife was Mary [maiden name unknown].
Went by "Joe". Also told his descendants that his middle name was "Elvin", but so far I have only found "Oda" as a middle name for him.
There is a family tradition of giving the middle name "Elvin" to the oldest son in the family (source was firsthand from still living family members). Thankfully, this piece of information has made it useful in determining birth order when birth dates were unknown.
Family members remember him as being a racist, and a bit ornery.
