Biography

Sarah, Minnie, and Charlie

Miss Sarah Chapman was born on January 9, 1879 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, the daughter of William L. Chapman and Mary Ellen Bell Chapman. She was the siister of Clautus G. Chapman, Charlie C. Chapman, Minnie Chapman, Lizzie (Chapman) Nix, Nancy (Chapman) Jones and Florence (Chapman) Poole. ^[1]

Sarah and sister Minnie never married or had children. After the death of their parents, they lived with their brother, Charlie and his wife Della. ^[2]

Sarah died on September 8, 1951 in Valley Falls Spartanburg County. She was buried at First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg Cemetery in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.^[3]
