Joseph-Urbain-Ludovic Charest est né le 10 juillet 1899, baptisé le 16 à Sherbrooke (St-Michel), fils de Joseph Charest et de Marie Boucher. Son parrain fut Désiré Charest, sa marraine Anna Boucher.[1]
Joseph-Urbain-Ludovic Charest, entrepreneur, fils majeur de feu Joseph Charest et de Marie-Jeanne Boucher, épouse Marie-Rose-Amanda Dion, fille majeure de Joseph Dion et de Georgianne L'Archevêque, le 18 avril 1922 à l'église Immaculée-Conception de Sherbrooke.[2]
