STOCKPORT. [From our own Correspondent] Stockport January 15. On Thursday last the 10th instant a young lad named Jules Guesdon, son of Mr. Charles Guesdon, met with a severe accident whilst engaged in fetching water from the River Light. It appears that young Guesdon had his bullocks off from the dray for the purpose of watering, and having some six hogsheads of water filled on the dray, it suddenly tipped up, precipitating the young fellow among the casks, breaking one of his legs, and otherwise bruising him severely about the body. But from the skilful treatment of Dr. Popham, who has attended him, the sufferer is progressing favourably. Detail South Australian Register (Adelaide, SA : 1839 - 1900) Thu 17 Jan 1861 Page 3
