Biography

Thomas Chase was born in 1737 to Thomas Chase and his second wife, Emme or Emma Kent Chase, in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was the great-grandson of Thomas Chase, Ensign Moses Chase's older brother, and Rebecca Follansbee.

Thomas married Elizabeth Chase, 13 July 1758. Elizabeth was the granddaughter of Ensign Moses Chase and Ann Follansbee. The couple had children Mary Chase and Caleb Chase.

Thomas Chase died in Sandown, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. He wrote a will 12 April 1784, which was proved 19 May 1784.

Elizabeth Chase Chase married, second, Lieutenant William Sanborn in October 1788 in Rockingham County, New Hampshire.
