Sydney Edward Cheesewright was born 25 June 1875 at Guisborough, Yorkshire, England. [1]
He was the son of Joseph Cheesewright and Floretta Meech.[2]

Sidney Edward Cheesewright married Lilian Mitchell in Stepney, London during 1900.[5]

Sidney joined the NSW Department of Navigation as engineer and ship's surveyor in July 1920.[6]

Sidney died in Petersham, New South Wales on 15 February 1934 follow an operation.[7][6][8][9][10]
