(Bendigo Advertiser (Vic. : 1855 - 1918) View title info Sat 6 Aug 1904 / Page 5 / OBITUARY) The death occurred yesterday of Mr. Richard Chellew, of Creek-street. The deceased gentleman had been manager of the Eureka Extended G.M. Co. for close on 10 years. He had also been engaged in a mining manager's capacity in several other mines, and also at St. Arnaud, and was a member of the Bendigo Mining Managers' Association. Mr. Chellow, who was of a retiring disposition, was highly esteemed. He was born in Cornwall, England, and came to Bendigo many years ago. The cause of death was miners' complaint, from which he had suffered for some time, though it was only during the last week that he had to take to his bed. He leaves a widow, one son and one daughter to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday to the Bendigo Cemetery.
