Isaiah Cheney, the son of Charles Cheney and Ann Jones was born about 1711. Isaiah was mentioned on a memorial in All Hallows Church Cemetery, Birdsville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States with a death date of 1768.[1]
On 15 Nov 1830 Isiah (Isaiah) Chaney (Cheney) married Sarah in Pittsylvania, Virginia. [2]

Isaiah married second Rachel Phelps on 27 May 1764 in Anne Arundel, Maryland.[3]
In his will written 19 Dec 1767 and proven in Maryland County, District and Probate Courts in March 1768 Isaiah names "his wife" (no name) as Executrix, son Elijah Cheney, and mentions "other children". Appraisers: John James, Benjamin Welsh. Creditors: Williams Hams, Ann Caton. Next of kin: Isaah Chaney, Elisabeth Cheney. [4]

There seems to be a discrepancy between first wife Sarah's death date from Find a Grave and the date of Isaiah's second marriage. There is not a photo of a tombstone and the source of Sarah's death date is unknown. Perhaps the youngest child is Rachel's? (VanAllen-9 15:04, 27 September 2022 (UTC))
