Circa 1639 -- James Grover [Sr.] and Rebecca Unknown married at Gravesend, Long Island, New Netherland (now Brooklyn, New York City, New York.[2]
Between 1641 and 1647 -- James Grover and Rebecca Cheeseman married at ?? He was born circa 1618.
James and Rebecca Cheeseman Grover had 7 children:
Circa 1648 - 1667 -- James and Rebecca Cheeseman Grover had six children: four sons (Josiah, James, Joseph, and Safety) and two daughters (Abigail and Hannah). Their births were:[1]
One other son John Grover is commonly placed in this family, but if he belongs here, he cannot be the child of Rebecca given her date of birth. [3]
They resided at Gravesend, Long Island, (now Brooklyn, New York City, New York) and later in Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.[2]
James [Sr.] was a justice for the towns of Middletown and Shrewsbury and for Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was a lieutenant in the Middletown company of New Jersey Militia.[2]
December 1685 -- James Grover [Sr.] died at Middletown, Monmouth County, Province of East Jersey (now New Jersey).[2]
October 1686 -- Rebecca Cheeseman Grover died at Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.[1]
