Biography
Elizabeth Betsy Childers was born in May 1813 in Virginia, her father, Thomas, was 46, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 38. She married John Blackhead Adkins on June 14, 1827, in her hometown. They had 13 children in 25 years.
Their marriage ended when her husband passed away. Cabell, Virginia wasn't Cabell County, West Virginia until the 1860's.
