Biography

Alexander was born in 1857. He was the son of Alexander Chisholm and Agnes Chisholm. ^[1]

In 1861 Alexander is aged 4 the youngest child of 5 and the family are living in Edinburgh^[2]

By 1871 his father has died, he is living with his mother and siblings in Edinburgh , he is now 14 years old and at school^[3]

In 1881 aged 24 Alexander is Chemist and Druggist, he is living with his mother, an older sister and two younger sisters in Orwell Terrace, in Edinburgh, Midlothian^[4]

Alexander marries widow, Louisa Simpson in Brentford in 1886. ^[5]

Louisa is mother of 4 to children from her previous marriage and in 1891 she has a son Alexander from her new marriage, a servant and a boarder make up the household in Sheffield ^[6]

The family are in Ecclesall in Sheffield, with one boarder. Alexander is an employer and is working as a Chemist and druggist^[7]

Ten years later he appears to have taken a step back and is now an assistant. The couple are living together and the information states they have been married 25 years with one child^[8]

Alexander's death (age 73) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1930 in the ecclesall Bierlow district.^[9]
