Biography

Assistant Commisary Turner Christian served with Chesterfield County Militia, Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.

Turner Christian is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A021759.

Turner Hunt Christian was born circa 1730 in Chesterfield, Virginia, the son of Charles Corbin Christian and Elizabeth Hunt. Turner married Mary Soames. ^[1]

He did not serve as an officer in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, however he is recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution as serving as an assistant commissary. He died after August 3, 1781, in Warren county, North Carolina and is DAR Ancestor #: A021759 ^[2]

  Settlement: justices find Turner H. and Mary Christian are due her part in father's estate: £46/5/2 plus proceeds from hiring out slaves: £7/10, plus bequest of slave girl aged 10 years or £25 at Mary's marriage - plaintiffs to recover^[5]
