Biography
Sarah Jane was born about 1837. Her birth was registered in the first quarter of 1838 in Plympton St Mary Union, England.[1]
In 1871, according to their census return, Sarah J Foster is in her family home with her husband Thomas W K Foster and six children. She is 33, gives her birth as Jamestown Follett, Devonshire. [2]
The family emigrate on the ship La Hogue in 1874 and settle in Feilding.
Sarah dies in 1929 aged 90, in Feilding Manawatu New Zealand [3]
