Barnabas Churchill was born on 3 Jul 1686 in Plymouth, Massachusetts to parents Joseph Churchill and Sarah Hicks. He married first Desire Holmes on 19 Nov 1700 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Children: Priscilla, Samuel, Sarah, Rebecca. After Desire died in 1708 he married Lydia Harlow on 5 Feb 1714 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Children: Barnabas Jr., William, Ichabod, Joseph, Lemuel, Isaac, Thomas, Ebenezer, Lydia, John, Hannah. He inherited the farm of his father at Hobshole, Plymouth Mass. and later this farm went to his son Lemuel. He died on 24 May 1760 in Plymouth, Massachusetts at age 53.
Barnabas died intestate and on 21 October 1760, his son Barnabas Churchell of Plymouth was granted the administration of his estate.[1]
His inventory was taken on 29 October 1760 in Plymouth.[2]
In 1761, his estate distribution was set out to his children, Barnabas Churchell (eldest son), the heirs of Joseph Churchell, Lemuel Churchell, the heirs of Isaac Churchell, Thomas Churchell, Ebenezer Churchell, Lydia Holmes and John Churchell.[3]
