Biography

Katherine Anne Clancy was born in 1862 [1] in New Brunswick (Canada). She was the daughter of Roderick Clancy and Bridget Ryan. At the age of 10, Catherine appeared in the 1871 Census with her parents in Hardwicke, Northumberland, New Brunswick. [2]

She married Patrick Purcell in 1884. [3] [4] [5] [1]

They had (at least) the following children:

At the age of 34, Casse (Catherine) appeared in the 1900 US Census with her husband and children in Bangor, Maine. The record indicated that she immigrated to the US in 1879 and was married in 1884. She had had 9 children and 7 were still living at that time. [3]

At the age of 47, Catherine appeared in the 1910 US Census with her husband and children in Bangor, Maine. The record indicated that she immigrated to the US in 1880 and was married 28 yrs. She had had 10 children and 8 were still living at that time. [4]

At the age of 59, Catherine appeared in the 1920 US Census with her husband and children in Brewer, Maine. The record indicated that she immigrated to the US in 1880. [5]

Katherine passed away in 1929 and was buried at the Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery in Bangor. [1]
