Research Notes

  • In 1775, the will of Benjamin Clapp mentions his daughter as Elizabeth Ellis, not Cudworth, therefore Elizabeth has been detached from him.
  • Elizabeth who married John Cudworth may be the daughter of Alijah Clapp who married Deborah Otis in 1749 in Scituate. More research is needed though.
  • The death sources for Elizabeth, the widow of John Cudworth gives her age at death as 84 in 1841, give an estimated birth year of 1757.
  • Birth source was deleted with the connections to Family Search trees.
