Biography

Alice was born in 1866 to Albert P and Eliza Isabella (May) Clark. Her parents died within a year of each other, when she was 12 and 13, 1878 and 1879. In 1880, she was living with her cousin. Between 1900 and 1910, her husband moved their family from Arkansas to Washington, where she remained the rest of her life. Alice died in 1935 at age 69.

MRS. W.A. PEARSON CALLED BY DEATH

Mrs. W.A. Pearson passed away Sunday, September 29, after having been ill since February, 1934. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the C.M. Vassar Chapel, with Rev. W.E. Callahan of the Methodist church in charge.

A daughter of Albert and Isabelle Clark, Alice Clark was born January 21, 1866 at Clarksville, Arkansas. She was united in marriage with W.A. Pearson December 31, 1884. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Denzil P. Pearson of Elma, Washington; a daughter, Mrs. A.N. Rognstad, of Clarkston, Washington; three brothers, W.P., N.R., and T.M. Clark, all of Clarksville, Arkansas; one sister, Mrs. E.S. Urmaton, McAllister, Oklahoma, and four grandchildren.

When 16 years old Mrs. Pearson united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and lived a consistent Christian life. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her, and her many friends deeply regret that she could not have been spared for many years yet.The pallbearers were Seaf Gimlin, Noah Peters, Harry Bartlow, Abner Parker, Bill Miller and Dr. A.L. Tefft. Interment was in the city cemetery.
