"MRS. ELBRIDGE JOHNDROW, DIES
Depauville - July 16. -- Mrs. Nina C. Johndrow, 77, wife of Elbridge J. Johndrow, Depauville, and former principal at the Glen Park grade school, died at the family home Monday afternoon at 1:30 following a long illness. She had been confined to her home for the past two years.
The funeral will be Thursday afternoon at 2 at the Cummings funeral home, Clayton, Rev. Clifford W. Sullivan, LaFargeville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Depauville cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Johndrow is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Flick, Depauville, and Mrs. Clifton (Doris) Timerman, LaFargeville; a step-son, Glenn H. Johndrow, LaFargeville; and a sister, Miss Lena Clark, Depauville.
Mrs. Johndrow was born on Sept. 8, 1885, in Dexter, a daughter of George and Carrie Parker Clark. She was a graduate of Dexter High school and received her teaching certificate in 1909. She married Elbridge Johndrow on Sept. 14, 1921, at the Universalist church, Watertown. Mrs. Johndrow taught at the Brownville High school and was principal of the Glen Park Grade school.
She was a member of the Depauville Valley View Rebekah lodge and was past district deputy-president of the lodge."[1]
