Biography

Jahleel was born about 1738 in Connecticut. He was baptized 18 June 1738 and his parents were 'Elder' George (1707-1754) and Abigail (Law) (1709-1774) Clark.^[1]Jaleel married Esther Yale (1743-1830) on 12 May 1762 in Wallingford, Connecticut and had the following children:^[2][3][4]

1. Esther Clark (1766-1848) m. 20 May 1784 Joel Yale (1759-1805),
2. Sally Betsey Clark (1772-1848) m. 1792 Asahel Royce (1771-1847),
3. Jonathan Yale Clark (1783-1867) m. abt 1808 Roxana Yale (1787-1828),
4. Abel D. Clark (1788-1870) m. 12 Sept 1822 Jerusha Hart (1789-1853).

Jahleel died 1827 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and is buried in East Cemetery in Meriden, New Haven, Connecticut.^[5][6]
