Biography
Sarah was born on the 16th August 1823 and baptised on the 17th August 1823 at St. Michael, Stone, Staffordshire, the daughter of Thomas Clark and Elizabeth Clark.
On the 9th December 1841, Sarah married Stephen Lacey at St. Michael, Stone, Staffordshire, England. Stephen Lacey, bachelor, Sergeant in the 90th Infantry, of Stone, son of John Lacey (no occupation given) & Sarah Clark, spinste of Stone, daughter of Thomas Clark (no occupation given). Witnessed by William Oldfield & Ann Peach?[1]
Sarah's husband Stephen died in 1871[2], and she returned to Staffordshire, living in the village of Brockton.
She passed away in 1901, probably at the Stafford Union Workhouse, Stafford, Staffordshire, England.
