Biography

John William Clark (later known as Ayres) was born in 1878 in Ararat, Colony of Victoria^[1]. He was the son of Elizabeth Jane Clark and raised by Robert Ayres after his marriage to Elizabeth.

He died on 13 July 1900 in Yarra Glen, Colony of Victoria^[2] and was buried at the Yarra Glen Cemetery^[3].
