Jack Clarke was an Australian Rules football player and coach in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
He was the son of Thomas Clarke and his wife Annie Miller. His father had played 103 games for the Essendon Football Club and young Jack followed in his father's footsteps, making his senior debut for Essendon on his 17th birthday. He went on to play 263 games for Essendon between 1951 and 1967, captaining the Bombers to victory in the 1962 Grand Final and also played in the 1965 premiership team. He was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
He died on 3 December 2001, aged 68.[1]
