Biography

Elizabeth was the daughter of Philip and Catherine Hayes Clark.^[1]Elizabeth grew up on the family farm in Wellesley Township.^[2] She married William O'Neill when she was 21 years old.^[3]

They raised their family in Elmira Village where William was a drover.^[4][5][6][7]

Elizabeth died at age 61 is buried in Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Cemetery, Elmira, Ontario.^[8]

Research Notes

An unsourced profile on Familysearch.org indicates Elizabeth's mother died when Elizabeth was about 7 years old, perhaps in childbirth. Her father remarried about two years later.^[9] Elizabeth is not found on the 1881 Census with her family.
