Biography

FRANK CLARKE, son of John Clarke and Ellen Lockwood, was born on November 16, 1909 at 40 Gifford Steet, Barnsbury, Islington in the County of London.^[1]

Frank married Florence Widdicks on December 25, 1933 at St David's Church in the parish of Islington, London. At the time of the marriage Frank was 24 years old and living at Roman Road in North London. Florrie was 21 years old and living at 32 Hornsey Street, which was just off of the Holloway Road in Islington. Witnesses to the marriage where Joseph Widdicks and Ellen King.^[2]

Notes

1. Birth Certificate-Franks mother is shown as Ellen Ann Clarke formerly Lockwood when in fact Frank's parents didn't marry until 1914. Which was after the death of Ellen's first husband Robert Macdonald.
