Biography

Julia A Claywell was born in May 1823 in Kentucky.

Julia (~19) married Garrett Bonham (29) (1813 - 1870) between March 9 and 11, 1843 in Sangamon, Illinois [see Research Notes]. Their children were:

Julia died on 18 Jul 1911 in Chanute, Neosho, Kansas, United States aged ~88. She is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.

Birth information: Her obituary says she was born in Sangamon County, Illinois on May 28, 1823.

Marriage information: Obituary - Garret Bonham, March 7, 1843 Marriage record -

Julia is still living as a widow with her daughter, Josephine and family, in the 1910 US Census of Chanute, Neosho, Kansas. This census mentions that Julias' father was born in England and her mother in Virginia.
