Biography
Mansfield, known as Ralph was born in 1887. He was the son of John Cleary and Lillian McAlister.[1] His siblings were:
- Lorraine, born 1890
- John, born 1892
Ralph attended Oak Park High School and was an excellent athlete. In 1910, he traveled to Japan to play with the University of Chicago Baseball team. Ralph worked as a stock broker and was the Director of the Midwest Stock Exchange.[2]
Ralph enlisted in the army in World War I and became an officer.[3][4]
Ralph married Charlotte Roy Spencer. Together they had three children.[5]
He passed away in 1951 aged 63 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States.[6]
