Biography

Edith was born in 1877, appearing in the 1880 census at age 3.^[1] In 1880 she was single, living with her parents.^[2]

On 2 Feb 1902 in York, Pennsylvania she had a male child with husband Jno Dehoff.^[3] This is probably Hugh, who was 8 at the 1910 census.^[4]

In 1920 the same four were together. Spelling on the census form was poor so she appears as Eidith Dohoff.^[5]

By 1930 son Hugh has moved out. Daughter Edith, now Edith Luddington, has married, divorced, and produced daughter Patricia A (3 4/12, Pennsylvania). Patricia's father was from Arizona.^[6]

John Edmund died in 1935. Edith Jr. has remarried twice, first to Crawford and then to Samuel Williams.^[7]

In 1950 only Patricia (23, never married, census taker for city directory) is still with her.^[8]

Edith died 13 Feb 1959. An obituary names husband John Edmund DeHoff and daughter Edith D. Gardner of Las Vegas.^{[9] [10]}
