Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1801. Elizabeth "Betsy" Clough was the daughter of John Clough (07 Nov 1777 - 23 Nov 1826) and Mary Throop Chapman (29 Nov 1777 - 17 Sep 1837) I believe she was born in Madison, Madison, New York. Betsey married Josiah Pierson. They had at least five sons. She died circa 1832, and may be buried at Pine Hill cemetery at Elba, Genesee County, New York.
Children:
1. John Clough Pierson, married twice. First to Electa B. Tucker on Nov. 24, 1844. Five of their children were living when she died. The eldest child, a son, Fay Collins Pierson, died on July 13, 1869. John's second marriage was to Miss Elizabeth Wright. They had four children.
2. William W. b. July 13, 1824, d. July 1849.
